ATP synthase

The protein complex that couples proton import to ATP synthesis (and alternatively proton export to ATP hydrolysis). The enzyme uses the proton motor force at the membrane for ATP synthesis. It is composed of a integral Fo complex and the attached peripheral F1 complex.
