Additional information

The gene is annotated in KEGG/MetaCyc/Swiss-Prot as diacylglycerol kinase EC 2.7.1.107. However, in the recently published paper (July 2007) by Jerga et al PubMed, the authors confirmed that dgkA is not a diacylglycerol kinase (DagK) but rather an undecaprenol kinase. This annotation was removed from Swiss-Prot as of November 2009. PubMed
