We deeply mourn Wolfgang Hillen who passed away suddenly on October 17th, 2010, at the age of 62. He was a dedicated scientist, who made substantial contributions to our knowledge on carbohydrate metabolism and catabolite repression in ''B. subtilis''. We deeply mourn Wolfgang Hillen who passed away suddenly on October 17th, 2010, at the age of 62. He was a dedicated scientist, who made substantial contributions to our knowledge on carbohydrate metabolism and catabolite repression in B. subtilis. His enthusiasm and expertise will be greatly missed by all of us.
The work of Wolfgang Hillen is continued by Gerald Seidel.
