APC superfamily of transport proteins

The amino acid, polyamine, organocation (APC) superfamily of transport proteins includes members that function as solute:cation symporters and solute:solute antiporters. They occur in bacteria, archaea, yeast, fungi, unicellular eukaryotic protists, slime molds, plants and animals.
